WHY NOT USE YOUR HOME ADDRESS?

Your company’s registered office address appears on the public register at Companies House, and your trading address goes on your website, invoices and marketing. Using your home address means sharing where you live with anyone who looks.

A Ministry of Work address keeps your home private and gives your business a professional base in Greater Manchester.

FAQs

Can I use your address as my registered office?

Yes. Every plan lets you use Ministry of Work, 41 New Cross Street, Swinton, Salford, M27 4TU as your company’s registered office address with Companies House and HMRC, so your home address stays off the public register.

What is the difference between a registered office and a business address?

A registered office is the official address for Companies House and HMRC only. A business address is one you can also put on your website, invoices, letterheads and marketing. Our Business Address and Virtual Office plans include both.

How do I get my post?

On every plan you can collect your mail from us during business hours. The Business Address plan adds daily mail notifications, and the Virtual Office plan adds weekly mail scanning and forwarding.

Why do you need to check my ID?

Businesses that provide registered office and business addresses are required by law to verify the identity of their customers. We will ask for ID and some details about your business before your address goes live.

Can I use the address for Google Business Profile?

Google’s rules generally don’t allow virtual office addresses for a Google Business Profile, so our virtual office plans are not for that. If you need a physical base, take a look at our Workclub and private offices.

Can I use the meeting room?

Yes. Business Address customers get discounted meeting room pricing, and the Virtual Office plan includes 3 hours of free meeting room credits every month.
